The urban concept in this project is that the man is the center of the world and the city has to be planned at his size. The project’s backbone is the meeting boulevard in which paths, buildings and relations between other public spaces converge.
To reduce at the minimum the ground use the USI and SUPSI buildings are organized in two big blocks, this allows creating a park that includes the Cassarate river.
The articulation of the new volumes and the relations between these and the pre-existence generates the public spaces. The variety of external spaces allows having different kinds of people using them according to every social extraction. The campus is thought like an organism with nets and flows, which run through the whole complex giving birth to all the inner and external activities.
