The project involves the construction of a new Municipal Operations Center (COC) in Livigno, Teola area, which will be part of the infrastructure for the 2026 Winter Olympics. The new building will replace two existing structures, occupying a plot of 3,900 m², and will house various public functions, including:
- Provincial detachment of the Fire Department volunteers;
- Local Police;
- Municipal registry offices;
- Civil Protection;
- Red Cross volunteers;
- Mountain Rescue;
- Other municipal services.
The building will have a structure spread over several levels, with a basement, two above-ground floors, and a limited attic. The basement will house logistical functions such as garages and storage areas, while the upper floors will include offices, residential areas, and service rooms. Additionally, a tower for Fire Department training exercises is planned.
The architecture combines traditional elements from the Livigno landscape, such as sloped roofs and wood use, with modern materials like zinc-titanium sheeting and earthquake-resistant reinforced concrete structures. The project aims to create an iconic and functional building that blends with the surrounding environment.
